New Signing - Nathan Day
Please join the Committee in
welcoming our latest recruit, Nathan Day.
Nathan has an extensive
playing background and will add to our Squad for Season 2009.
Below is a brief profile on
Nathan's playing experience.

Also, Nathan represented the
State Team many times including the Premiers Eleven at senior level. He
played tournaments in China and Indonesia with Sydney United and trialled
in Switzerland with Lausanne Sport.
Nathan has won Best and
Fairest at every Super League club he has played for, at least once.

Vale – Martyn Crook
The Committee, Players and
Members of Para Hills Knights would like to extend their deepest
condolences to the family of Martyn Crook who passed away suddenly whilst
on tour in America with the Under 17’s Australian National Side (The
Joey’s) for whom he was their Coach.
Martyn played first off at
Para Hills as a Junior; he then played in goal for the Senior Team for
three years and was the Knights Senior Coach for four seasons. Martyn also played 14 times for Australia,
8 times for South Australia and has been inducted into the FFSA Hall of
Fame.
Martyn will be sadly missed
by all who knew him personally and will be a great loss to the game.

New Signing for Season 2009 –
Michael Cartwright
Para Hills are pleased to
announce our latest signing for next season. Below is a brief profile on Michael.
Michael played for the SA
State team in 94 & 95 as a junior before moving to SASI in 94 and then
was captain in 1995. At the end of
two years at SASI he returned to Adelaide City and played in the state
league team.
Michael represented Adelaide
City until the end of the 99/00 season with a total of 22 national league
appearances. In 00/01 he signed for
the Auckland Kings under Winton Rufer and played a total of 24 games for
the year, scoring his only national league goal (against Adelaide City at
Hindmarsh). In 01/02 he signed for
Northern Spirit and played there for two season.
In total he played 84 national
league games
Since 2002 he has played for
Adelaide Galaxy and most recently for the Adelaide Raiders. Michael brings
a lot of experience to the Knights, having played in the final series each
year since returning to Adelaide in 2002 and have only missed one league
match in this time.
Michael also captained the
SA Senior State team in 04/05 and in 2006 won the Super League player of
the year along with Nathan Fleetwood.
